 The Art of Hanji  The art of Hanji dates back thousands of years on the Korean peninsula, and was used by royalty as well as common people in everyday life. Although made of paper, with proper care, Hanji art will last a lifetime. Korean Hanji in general is very beautiful, natural, serene and yet functional at the same time. This makes it an unusual combination that works well to represent an amazing culture. I hope my art helps to bring this incredible craft and a little bit of Korea to anyone who visits Mehwa Hanji Studio and who will appreciate a little piece of the country also known as “The Morning Calm”.
